Meet Nedhal, Syria

I will never loose my smile despite everything

A widow woman from Raqqa, Syria. she flew Syria with her remaining kids after her husband and son were killed by ISIS in 2014. After arriving in Greece, her daughter and son continued to Ireland in 2018, and her sister passed away due to cancer, Nedhal stayed alone and she decided to continue her journey to join one of her kids. Like the other refugees, Nedhal lost the financial aid from the government after she received her Residence Permit and had major issues to cover her basic medical and food needs.
YEM helped her on monthly basis with food and medical assistance including urgent visits to the dentist.
Nedhal has finally rejoined her daughter in Ireland and she is trying to establish her new life in another country.
