“Life is Cruel Somtimes..”

NAJWA, 43 years old from Mosul / Iraq. Mother of two boys: MURAD and OMAR. Omar has been living with a severe disability since he was a kid. Najwa lost her husband “Ibrahim” and her daughter “Fatima” while Mosul was captured by ISIS.

She also lost her son “Ahmed” in Athens last year due to medical mistake in a Greek hospital. They were kicked out from the apartment by the NGO that was responsible for their case and like the majority of refugees in Greece they are no longer receiving the governmental financial aid.

In November 2019 the family slept in the street for 3 nights until YEM managed to get them a rented apartment with 320 Euros, YEM also helps the family with petty cash to cover the food and medication necessities, after 3 years of continued support the family has finally managed to continue their journey in Europe.
